来月行われるPaul Jacksonとのジャパン・ツアーが話題のRob DavyとDylan BarnesのユニットMUTINY。彼らの最新シングルはアルバム『Yada Yada』のなかで、最も異色曲として話題になっていたラガMCをメインとした「Dem Girls」。BLURのボーカリストDamonによる覆面プロジェクトGORILLAZのアルバムのボーカル参加等で知られるSweetie Irieを起用した今作は、情熱的に歌い上げるラガ・サウンドに、圧力ビートやホーン・ソロも加えられた高揚感溢れる、これからの暑い季節にピッタリの作品!!さらに『Episode2』やアルバムのボーナス・トラックに収録され、問い合わせが多かった注目曲「Drums」もお見逃しなく!!

Mutiny signified a new musical direction with "Ya Self", their first ever release on Underwater and one of Underwaterﾕs biggest releases to dateﾉ "Dem Girls", the second track to be released from Mutinyﾕs forthcoming album "Yada Yada" (set for release on Underwater in September), picks up where "Ya Self" left off...

"Dem Girls" is a HUGE, big-room, feel-good, ragga-house, dirty-jackin-party track: Designed for the summer.

Featuring one of Raggaﾕs biggest MCs ﾐ Sweetie Irie ﾐ the MC on tracks including Aswadﾕs "On and On" and the Gorillaz "Clint Eastwood" (feel my motion!), amongst many more. "Dem Girls" is the first house track Sweetie has worked on. He hooked up with Mutiny through ﾔa friend of a friendﾕ, they played him their album, he picked up on "Dem Girls" and laid down his ruff-assed vocal within an hour.

An "I like to move it" for the naughties? - Ragga-House is where itﾕs atﾉ

Also in play is "Drums" ﾐ a fucked up beat heavy track favoured by Jon Carter et al and "Dem Girls" instrumental ﾐ a big player with Emerson.

Mutiny will also be monthly residents for Underwater in Ibiza this summer (every Tuesday at Pacha) ﾐ as well as playing in the Underwater/Circus tent at Creamfields in August. There are also plans to take the album live ﾐ watch this spaceﾉ
