Tying in the release with the beginning of Underwaterﾕs Ibiza season (every Tuesday at Pacha Ibiza, starting June 22), the third Episode in Underwaterﾕs highly reputed compilation series sees label boss Darren Emerson take charge of disk one and Paul Jackson ﾐ Underwaterﾕs one to watch producer/DJ/remixer in 2004 ﾐ take charge of disk two. Emersonﾕs 15-track mix contains purely Underwater releases ﾐ including tracks from Emerson himself, Tim Deluxe, Pnau, Mutiny, Gus Gus, Greg Churchill, Sharam Jey and more. Whilst Jacksonﾕs party-wise house-versus-tech selection brings in Chicken Lips, Cohen versus Deluxe, Robbinﾕ three of Jacksonﾕs own releases, Agoria and more. Enjoy.

Emersonﾕs mix kicks off with ﾒThe Way We Do Itﾓ one of Jacksonﾕs own - a deep, warped, base-driven track, reminiscent of Leftfields Phat Planet and jacked up with beats in a La Mouche stylie. He then slips into one of Underwaterﾕs greatest releases from last year ﾐ and a track still in DJﾕs boxes now ﾐ Gus GusﾕﾒDavidﾓ (Emersonﾕs own remix). Next up is Mutinyﾕs ﾒDem Girlsﾓ (instrumental) ﾐ this will be the first track to be taken from Mutinyﾕs forthcoming album on Underwater ﾒYada Yadaﾓﾐ the vocal version features Ragga MC Sweetie Irie on vocals (same vocalist on GorillazﾕﾒFeel My Motionﾓ). ﾒIn The Valleyﾓ a jackinﾕ, tech cut by new Australian signing Pnau hits you up next, Pnau are huge down under and are expected to be a huge act forthcoming to Underwaterﾉ Emersonﾕs own ﾒIn The Troubleﾓ (dub) - an easy riding, disjointed, sleazy track, is up next, taking itﾕs time to build-up into ﾒBudonkadonkﾓ by New Zealandﾕs Greg Churchill - another new signing to the label. Churchillﾕs productions are massive with DJs including Carl Cox, Steve Lawler and Danny Howells et al... Random House Projectﾕs ﾒLongingﾓ (Emersonﾕs remix) brings in an old skool vibe with a muscular b -line, segueing into Churchillﾕs heavy monster ﾒBody Slamﾓ and his new signing to Underwater ﾒPhase Twoﾓ. Rude Rkadeﾕs (or Rune RK), quirky cut ﾒBeautifulﾓ is up next (instrumental and vocal) ﾐ a favourite with Josh Wink and Tiga and mixing into Runeﾕs new signing ﾒBillieﾓ. Tim Deluxeﾕs last cut to be taken from his ﾒLittle Ginger Clubkidﾓ album follows next. ﾒStarﾓ featuring vocals from Ben Onono is a deep, rolling Underworld-esque cut perfect for the 3am moment (expect a remix from Funk DﾕVoid forthcoming). Sharam Jeyﾕs next (huge) Underwater release ﾒDa Loversﾓ is up next and flows into the grand finale ﾐ Mutinyﾕs deep and melodic ﾒLuckyﾓ featuring House leg-end Robert Owens on vocalsﾉ he means every wordﾉ

Paul Jacksonﾕs mix rocks in with his new epic ﾒBlockbusterﾓ (exclusively available on the Episode Three comp). This is Jacksonﾕs next Underwater release, forthcoming on June 14; itﾕs an Orbital versus Green Velvet cut with a monster, kick-ass B-line - huge. Next up is ﾒDo It Properﾓ a bouncy, electronic flavour by Chicken Lips, jackinﾕ into the groovy, gypsy-witch cut ﾒThe Spellﾓ by Robbinﾕ Thieves (aka Harry Romero). ﾒThe Non Stopﾓ by Jackson takes the mix into a darker tech-terrain, through into Cohen versus Deluxeﾕs heavy, relentless ﾒJust Kickﾓ a massive player from Carl Coxﾕs Intec label. ﾒLe Onzieme Marcheﾓ (Phil Kieran remix) by Agoria feeds the mix into a deeper, non-stop (hands-up), drone of a groove, into Agoriaﾕs ﾒSnake Hipsﾓ a bubbling tech-cut, head-f**k come euphoric (didnﾕt think you could say that word without Dave Pearce being involved) monster of a track on PIAS. Robbinﾕ ThievesﾕﾒAir Rageﾓ, so called because of Harry Romeroﾕs air rage incident in Ireland last year, brings the mix down into a deeper house territory. Followed by Jacksonﾕs own dark and heavy, dramatic composition ﾒRock and Rollﾓ, released on Underwater last year. And last but not leastﾉ Jackson finishes off the comp with Funk DﾕVoid/Chicco Secciﾕs ﾒEmotional Contentﾓ on Soma, a lazy, hazy groove taking you downﾉ and downﾉ and downﾉ

Some facts: This is the third in the series of the Underwater Episode compilations. The first was mixed by Emerson and Deluxe, the second by Emerson and Mutiny. Emersonﾕs mix showcases what the label has offered and has to offer over the coming year. Jacksonﾕs mix showcases both his production and DJing style to perfection (yep, heﾕs good). Underwater will be at Pacha-Ibiza every Tuesday from June 22 to September 23. Residents will be Emerson, Tim Deluxe, Paul Jackson and Mutiny plus big name guests throughout the summer and with Trevor Nelson as the exclusive Global Room resident every week.
