ダレン・エマーソン
若干16歳にしてすでにDJとして数々のクラブでスピンしていた早熟な彼は、それから15年経た今では間違いなくダンスミュージックシーンの重鎮となっている。'91年にはリック・スミス、カール・ハイドと知り合いアンダーワールドの一員となり前衛的なエッジをもたらした。結果、ダレンが参加したアルバム「dubnobasswithmyheadman」と「Second Toughest in the Infants」によって彼らはダンスシーンと、チャートのトップを欲しいままにする。そして'99年にアンダーワールドを脱退。その後も休む暇なく世界中をDJツアーするかたわら、自身のレーベルUNDERWATERと作品づくりに力を注いできた。

ティム・デラックス
彼がシーンに登場したのは'97年の"RIP Groove"（Double 99名義）のヒットで、現在24歳の若さながら、昨年最大のクラブ・アンセムの１つでもある"Sirens"といった大ヒットも持つ。彼の2ndリリースである、ラテン・フレイバー溢れるボーカリストをフィーチャーしたDisc 1 収録の"It Just Won't Do"は、なんとMiami Buzz ChartのNo.1を射止め、Cool Cuts では２位を獲得。そしてRadio 1ではAランク、PVがMTV DanceのBランクにランキングされた。その他にも、ブラックグループ、ロバート・マイルス、マイティ・ダブ・カッツ、ウルトラ・ネイトなど数多くのリミックスワークをこなしてきた。カイリー・ミノーグの"I Just Can't Get You Out of My Head"やロウ・フィデリティー・オールスターズの‘Sleeping Faster’などのリミックスも手掛けている。

Apart From Extensive Djiﾕng tours around the Globe, Darren Emerson has been concentrating much of his efforts to his Underwater label and working towards his own productions. In the meantime he has teamed up with Tim Deluxe, Underwater's most recent and much talked about signing to compile "Underwater Episode 1' the label's debut album release.

Underwater Episode 1 is an ecclectic mix of funky house tunes ranging from critically acclaimed Brixton duo Mutiny's brand new "Yerself' to the funky beats of Medicine's new "Capital Rocka'. Also featured on the album are tracks by Alex Gopher, Ian Pooley, Steve Mac and Layo and Bushwacka and brand new and unheard tunes by Darren Emerson, Gus Gus and T World.

Tim Deluxe first erupted onto the scene in 1997 with "RIP Groove' (under his and Omar Amidora's Double 99 pseudonym ?on Icecream Records), he then went on to make the highly acclaimed Double 99 Album: 7th High. In 2001, Tim went solo and released "Sirens/We All Love Sax' (on Underwater) and went on to remix Kylie Minogue's "Can't Get You Out of My Head', Lo-Fi Allstars' "Sleeping Faster' and most recently: Layo and Bushwacka's "Love Story' - a Number One Coolcuts track.

Underwater Episode one showcases the sound of the label while mixing in with some of the freshest tunes from the coolest labels of the moment.
